My First Sheraton Hotel Experience at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur
A 5-star hotel offering luxurious accommodations, unique dining options, well-equipped facilities and friendly services and hospitality, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel was my home for three days when I was in Kuala Lumpur. I read a lot of remarkable things about the hotel so when I visited Kuala Lumpur again for a quick vacation I was ecstatic to finally able to stay at Sheraton. It was my first time to experience a Sheraton Hotel so I was really excited about my stay. It was also just a weekend so I really made the most of my time to enjoy my vacation.
Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel is a 5-star property. It offers relaxing rooms and suites ideal for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel is centrally located in the downtown Kuala Lumpur. It is easily accessible to famous landmarks, main tourist attractions and nice shopping malls.
It was mid-afternoon when I arrived at the hotel. I rode a monorail from KL Sentral since it is just nearby Medan Tuanka Monorail Station. The elegant ambiance of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel greeted me when I entered the lobby. I was impressed. A lobby staff then assisted me to the front desk to manage my check in. I presented my passport and my booking was quickly confirmed. My room wasn’t ready yet so I was asked to wait at the common lounge first. But I didn’t wait for too long. The staff approached me and gave my keycard. I was told that my original room had a problem so they needed to transfer me to a different room, a Deluxe KL Tower View Room, which wasn’t a problem to me at all.
Room

My room is a Deluxe Room located at the upper floor. The room is a bit dated with some of its furniture but the stunning view of KL Tower and the comfy bed made up for it. It has a king bed and fitted with great in-room amenities. The room is also equipped with cable television, personal in-room safe, telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, mini-bar and over-sized writing desk. It also has a mini sofa with an impressive view of the iconic KL Towers.
I love that the room also has a huge private bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. The bathroom also features marble counter-tops, lighted mirrors, a telephone, and a range of pampering bathroom amenities.
The room features a warm and welcoming ambiance. I like its elegant decor and classic atmosphere. The room was over-all cozy. The bed was comfortable. It has all the admirable features that made me enjoy my first experience of Sheraton Hotel.
Dining
It was also a delightful experience to try the culinary offerings that Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel has. The hotel has a number of dining options where each serves distinct and world-class fare and cuisine. I was able to try three of the restaurants during my stay – Essence, Celestial Court Restaurant and Villa Danieli.
Essence Restaurant
Essence Restaurant offers an extensive à la carte menu and international buffet spread. I tried the restaurant during breakfast and lunch. The breakfast buffet was plenty consisting of local, Asian and western favorites. Stations for desserts, pastries, bread and beverages are also available. It also experienced the Sunday Family Day at Essence during lunchtime. On this special event, the restaurant set up an entertainment corner with clown and balloons for kids. Food comes in buffet style, which is a variety of International cuisine. I especially liked the Fried Mix Vegetable, Butter Prawn, Kung Po Squid and Grilled Chicken Satay. For desserts, I was able to enjoy the Blueberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Tart, and Chocolate Fountain with marshmallows and biscuits.
Celestial Court Restaurant
Celestial Court Restaurant serves authentic Chinese cuisine. It also offers award-winning dim sum and a wide choice of Chinese teas. This is my favorite restaurant in Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel. I tried this dining place during dinner on my first night and ordered Fried Rice with seafood. Oh boy, it was really good most especially when topped with spicy pickles. I really enjoyed the dinner.
Villa Danieli
Villa Danieli is an award-winning Italian restaurant. It is a freestanding trattoria styled after a country home. I tried the restaurant during dinner on my last night. The restaurant has an intimate setting perfect for romantic dinner. I hope I was with someone that night for a date. It could have been perfect but I guess there was no need because the food alone was already enjoyable. I tried their four-cheese pizza and it was delish. I also had Choco lava cake for dessert and it didn’t disappoint. It was also good that I was able to finish the plate by myself.
Facilities
Aside from the restaurants, part of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel that I also loved about is the luxurious facilities. The hotel has a range of stylish amenities and services to offer guests more enjoyment and convenience. The hotel features an outdoor pool, spa and fitness centre. I love the pool that is overlooking the remarkable view of Kuala Lumpur Tower. The hotel also has business centre and a concierge. Internet access is also accessible throughout the hotel for free.
But what I enjoyed most among the facilities is the Club Lounge.
My Sheraton Club Lounge Experience
The private Sheraton Club Lounge is located at the 38th floor of the hotel. Since I was staying at a room at the Executive Club Level, I was given an access to the private lounge. The lounge is a relaxing space and perfect for business discussions and small gatherings. But it is also good for people who simply want to relax, sample the snacks and drinks and of course, view the magnificent KL Towers.
I visited the lounge during afternoon snacks and evening cocktails. The lounge has a great selection of snacks and drinks. I enjoyed the food, chips and some of the sweet treats. I also admire how the staff assisted me, most especially Fairos Khalid, the manager. They offer guests a superb service and hospitality. I find them accommodating, attentive and friendly. During my visit, they didn’t fail to assist guests or ask me if I needed anything.
The Club Lounge was really a great part of my remarkable stay at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel. I must say, one of the best experiences that I had in the hotel.
Staying at a Sheraton Hotel for the first time provided me a magnificent experience, which the hotel always guarantees to offer to its guest. I enjoyed my stay because of my gorgeous room, the stylish facilities and great hospitality from the staff. I enjoyed my weekend and made most of the time to enjoy my stay, indeed a remarkable first experience at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
