Where to Stay in Taipei: My Experience at Orange Hotel Ximen

Taipei has always been a city I’ve wanted to revisit, especially since it’s a popular destination for Filipinos due to its proximity and wide range of attractions. From vibrant night markets to beautiful temples, there’s always something exciting to discover. It’s hard to believe five years had passed since my last visit, and I’d been eager to return. I arrived at Orange Hotel Ximen around 4 PM and was pleasantly surprised by the quick check-in process. The lobby wasn’t too busy, so I was assisted right away. The front desk warmly greeted me and quickly processed my check-in after asking for my passport. In just a few minutes, I had my room ready. The hotel uses digital keys, so I could conveniently use my phone to unlock my room, and the staff provided clear instructions on how to set it up. They also gave me breakfast vouchers, which I could use at selected branches of Mo’s Burger and Louisa Coffee, which added extra value to my stay.

Even though the hotel is in the lively Ximending district, my room was a peaceful escape from the city’s energy. It was always nice to come back to such a quiet and inviting space after a busy day out.

The room had everything I needed—fast Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a clean bathroom. Housekeeping took care of everything daily, and they provided fresh towels, which was a nice touch.

Facilities

One of the standout features of my stay at Orange Hotel Ximen was the excellent service and amenities. The staff were always friendly and eager to help, whether I needed directions, recommendations, or assistance with my room. Their warm hospitality made my stay more comfortable and stress-free.

The hotel also offers a 24-hour reception, so even with late-night plans, I could come and go without any hassle. Another great feature is the common lounge in the basement, which doubles as a co-working space and dine in area. They provide free snacks, drinks, and coffee. There’s also ice cream near the front desk! I also appreciated the water refilling stations available on every other floor.

Orange Hotel Ximen also offers free breakfast, which was a great perk during my stay. Upon check-in, I received vouchers, which I used at Louisa Coffee. It’s a cozy spot just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The best part? I was able to enjoy breakfast even after 12pm, which gave me flexibility on days when I wanted to sleep in or explore before grabbing a bite.

I felt truly grateful for the wonderful experience I had at Orange Hotel Ximen during my return trip to Taipei. My stay at this hotel made my visit so memorable, providing a comfortable and convenient base while I explored the city.
