Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites Boracay, Vacation in the Heart of the Island
When my friends in the office and I were planning for a weekend trip, a destination that first came to our mind was Boracay. Luckily, there was an on-going seat sale that time so we booked our tickets right away. Our plan was also a perfect timing because we all felt like we needed a break from work. As a lead organizer of this trip, I’ve planned that we only spend our time in Boracay to unwind and enjoy the beach. It would also be a great idea to stay somewhere homey and quiet so we could totally have a relaxing vacation. So to make this happen, I suggested to my friends that we stay in one of my favorite resorts in the island, Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites.
Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites is an amazing accommodation situated in the heart of Boracay. It is about 4 minutes walk from Bulabog Beach and about 6 minutes walk to the famed White Beach. The resort has a strategic location where you can enjoy both beaches conveniently. Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites is a sister property of the Ferra Hotel. The same hotel where I experienced friendly services and utmost hospitality.
My friends and I arrived at the resort around 9 in the morning. Although it was still way too early for standard check-in, the resort allowed our group to check in to our room already. We were glad because we still haven’t had enough sleep after finishing our work the night before. After presenting our identifications and filling up the form, we were ushered by one of the staff into our room.
Room
Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites features 43 beautifully well-appointed rooms. It comes in 4 types; namely, Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Corner Suite and Garden Suite. Check room rates and availability here. Each room provides comfort and convenience with its amazing in-room amenities.
Our room was a Superior Room. With two queen beds, it was perfect for our group. The room is equipped with cable TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, personal safe and mini-bar. The room also has air-conditioning, hot and cold shower, a mini fridge and a seating area.
Our room at Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also has a cozy and homey ambiance that let us able to have our much-needed rest. In fact, on our first day we were able to get out of room late afternoon already. During our entire stay, we spent longer inside our room than outdoors, dozing off and lazing away.
Facilities
Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites also features a number of great facilities and services to provide guests the comfort and enjoyment while in Boracay. Among its facilities are 24-hour front desk and security, on-site restaurant, rooftop pool bar, computer station and free access to Wi-Fi. The resort also offers transfer and tour assistance.
Breakfast at Brick and Basil
Brick and Basil is the on-site restaurant of Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites. It’s a wood-fired bistro serving brick oven pizza. But in the morning, this is where guests may enjoy buffet breakfast. The spread has variety of options, which consists all-time Filipino favorites such as tocino, corned beef and different kind of rice cakes. American breakfast foods are also being served such as sausage, bacon, bread, pancake, waffle, corn flakes, cookies and granola. There are also stations for egg, salad, fresh fruit slices and beverages (Tip: If you love hot chocolate, you have to try their version of hot chocolate!)
Dinner at The RUF Bar
On our second night in Boracy, we were able to try The Ruf Bar. It’s a roof-deck bar at The Ferra Hotel, the main hotel. The restaurant bar offers local, Asian dishes and variety of western style food. During our dinner, we tried Baby Back Ribs and Nasi Goreng. Our dining experience that night was also extra special because there was an open mic. The Ruf Bar offered their karaoke to us free of use. It was indeed a fun night to end our Boracay trip.
Dip Pool Bar
A great addition to the magnificent facilities of Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites is the Dip Pool Bar. It has a rooftop bar, restaurant and outdoor swimming pool. Guests may choose to dine in here and enjoy the food offered by Brick and Basil. The rooftop bar also serves beers and specially crafted cocktails. We were able to try the rooftop pool bar on our first night. We had four cheese pizza, beef kebab, chicken binakol and crispy pork kettle. Aside from a wonderful dining experience, the rooftop bar also offers a magnificent view of the island.
Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites let me and my friends experience the vacation we deserved while we were in Boracay. With beautiful and comfortable room and incredible facilities, this resort surely captivated our hearts. All the staff were also amazing making us felt welcome all the time. They were all friendly and very accommodating that made our vacation in the island extraordinary.
