Chittorgarh Fort in Photographs
One of the highlights of our Indian odyssey was our visit to the largest fort in India, the Chittorgarh Fort. It sits majestically over a hill which is 590.6 ft in height that spreads over an area of 691.9 acres above the plains of the valley drained by the Berach River. The fort is situated at a distance of 112 kms from the city of Udaipur. One must have to travel around 2 hours from the centre of Udaipur to reach the grandest fort in Rajasthan.
Spending an entire day is needed when visiting this tourist spot as it has numerous precinct, temples, palaces and other sightings to see.
I couldn’t agree more when they say that this fort is the grandest fort in the state. The architecture, heritage and vast space of this royal spot has is just truly noble and monumental.
We were able to reach the fort past lunchtime and were able to finish exploring the complex area at around 4:00 PM. We had started the exploration of the huge fort by visiting the Vijay Stambha and had it finished in Kumbha Palace. Two spots that we liked the most.

Seeing and capturing the different temples and palaces inside the vast fort merely justify its grandeur standing. But apart from these structures, what also captured us were the local tourists who were willing to take a pose in our camera.
The fort area didn’t only show us how majestic the place is but how happy and friendly the people on this place are.
