Alta Vista de Boracay, Leisure and Work in Paradise
It had been over a year since my last trip to Boracay, and I found myself longing for the white sand beach and laid-back island vibe. Wanting to make the most of it this time, I booked a flight for a six-day stay, giving me a good balance of work and relaxation. Since I needed to stay connected for work during the weekdays, I looked for a quiet, comfortable resort with reliable Wi-Fi connection. That’s when Alta Vista de Boracay came to mind. It’s a place I’d stayed over a decade ago and remembered fondly for its peaceful atmosphere. I knew it would be the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Boracay while keeping up with my work.
Alta Vista de Boracay sits on a peaceful hillside, offering stunning views of the ocean and surrounding greenery. Located near the peaceful Puka Beach, the resort is perfect for those looking to relax away from the busier parts of Boracay. Its hillside location provides a calm and restful atmosphere, with easy access to White Beach and D’Mall just a short drive away. Alta Vista de Boracay offers guests the best of both worlds. A quiet retreat with the option to enjoy Boracay’s livelier spots nearby.
How to go to Alta Vista de Boracay?
To get to Alta Vista de Boracay, guests can choose either a private transfer, shared transfer, or public transport. For a private transfer, simply book with the resort. They’ll arrange everything from airport pickup to a boat ride to Boracay, and finally, a direct transfer to the resort. If you prefer public transport, take a tricycle or shuttle from the airport to Caticlan Jetty Port, where you’ll board a boat to Boracay Island. From there, you can either take a tricycle or a local shuttle van to Alta Vista de Boracay. Alternatively, you can head to Jollibee D’Mall and wait for the resort shuttle, which runs on a schedule.
During my stay at Alta Vista de Boracay, I availed the private transfer, and it was definitely the right choice. I was warmly greeted by Zett at the airport, and everything was handled seamlessly from there to the resort. With the private transfer, I avoided the usual hassle of navigating port transfers and paying fees, making the trip stress-free and convenient.
When we arrived at the resort, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they had maintained the property. It felt just as serene as I remembered, with hardly any changes. Our group received a warm welcome that made us feel right at home. We were guided to the check-in counter, where we showed our IDs for verification. The staff handed us our keys and took the time to explain all the amenities and inclusions we could enjoy during our stay.
Room
Alta Vista de Boracay offers clean and spacious rooms available in two types: the Deluxe Room and the Loft Suite. Each room is designed for comfort and convenience, featuring fantastic in-room amenities. You can check room rates and availability here.
We stayed in a Deluxe Room, which was both cozy and spacious. It has a lovely private balcony with a nice view. The room had two comfortable double beds and a nice seating area, making it a great space to unwind. I particularly appreciated the work desk since I needed to get some work done during the weekdays. The room was well-equipped with amenities like a fridge, microwave, TV, cabinet, and a luggage rack. The bathroom was clean and stocked with essential toiletries, though it did feel a bit dated. It also had a bathtub, which was a nice addition.
One of my favorite surprises was the welcome greeting on the bed when we arrived. It was such a sweet touch that really made me feel special and set the tone for a relaxing vacation. The room can accommodate up to four guests, with an extra fee of Php1,300 for additional people.

Breakfast was included, and we had a delicious selection to choose from, including Danggit, Bangus, Corned Beef, Tocino, or Tapa, all served with fried rice, eggs, fruits, and coffee or juice. American breakfast options were also available. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, where we ordered dishes like Sinigang na Hipon, Beef Salpicao, Pork Humba, and Chicken Curry.
