A Relaxing Holiday at Holiday Resort Lombok

After three days in the Gili Islands, our group continued our vacation by going to mainland Lombok. We stayed at Holiday Resort Lombok, which is a resort nestled on a pristine beach of Mangsit Village. It was our home for two days. It was our beautiful sanctuary giving us a perfect holiday while in the island.

Holiday Resort Lombok is a relaxing place situated in the midst of abundant greenery. It provided us a perfect tropical surrounding that completed our getaway on this part of Indonesia. The resort is located 5-minute drive from the town center of Senggigi. 

Staying at Holiday Resort Lombok was one of the best things about our trip. We experienced the comfort and hospitality. Entering the premises of the resort made us all felt home instantly. We felt the courtesy and friendliness that made us instantly admire this place. The cozy accommodation, magnificent facilities and utmost hospitality certainly made us all enjoyed our stay.

It was late afternoon when our group reached the resort. It was a little over an hour drive from Bangsal Port with some stopovers to sight-see. The staff greeted us upon our arrival. Welcome drinks were given to us. And as a norm for check in, we were asked for our passports and our personal details.  Checking in was swift, I must say.

Room

Holiday Resort Lombok offers guest rooms that are all tastefully furnished. Each guest rooms are well decorated with wooden furniture and fixtures. Each rooms feature great comfort and useful amenities. Rooms at the resort are categorized into Garden Chalet, Ocean View Room, Beach Bungalow and Two-Bedroom Family Suite. Our room has twin beds. It was air-conditioned. The room is equipped with cable TV, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom. The bathroom was big and clean, provided with bathroom amenities. It also has a balcony facing the resort’s ground and the ocean.

Generally, the room really looked nice. It was clean and spacious. It was cozy. The beds were comfortable. In fact, I had a restful sleep in spite of having an early morning call time.

Dining

Dining is one of the things to also experience when staying at the resort. They has several bar and restaurants to choose from offering a selection of traditional and Western dishes.

For an outdoor dining and traditional Indonesian delights, we spent our dinner at Kayangan. The restaurant is situated along the beach. They serve both a la carte and buffets. We sampled some local Lombok dishes. And of course, there was also my favorite Nasi Goreng. The restaurant also has live entertainment every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. Luckily, we were there on Monday and we were able to jam with their resident musicians.

Rinjani Restaurant is also one that we were able to try. The restaurant is located near the lobby. They serve Asian food. They are open during breakfast, lunch and dinner. And it was during the buffet breakfast that we had tried this restaurant.

The buffet spread was great consisting of local dishes. There were also stations for eggs, pastries, breads, cereals, desserts and some beverages.

Facilities

The true standout about the resort is the facilities. Aside from the dining options that guests can select from, the resort also offers other magnificent amenities for guests to have a more pleasant stay.

Guests can enjoy a game of beach volleyball, table tennis and aqua aerobics provided by the resort. The resort also has Tennis court facilities. Bicycles can be rented for a cycle along the beach. The resort ground is also a veritable playground. The place is also nice to have some leisure walk.

But what I really loved about this resort was the huge swimming pool. The pool was really great looking. They have neon colored swimming pool bean bag that made us enjoyed the pool even more. We stayed here for hours, floating and just enjoying the pool and the beautiful tropical surrounding. And of course, we also did countless pictures on the pool. You couldn’t blame us; it was truly a lovely spot.

Other amenities of the resort are gym, massage and aromatherapy treatments. It also has a beach that you can have a great view of the sunset. And during morning, you can watch the several boats sailing the ocean. The resort also has its own Turtle Center. It is a sea turtle conservation initiated by the resort aiming to protect sea turtle eggs, increase hatching rates, increase their chance of surviving, and enabling them to strengthen before releasing them into the sea.

Our stay at Holiday Resort Lombok gave us a true definition of what vacationing is. It was a short stay but definitely a relaxing vacation that we had experienced. From our pleasant accommodation, to good food and to lovely amenities, the resort effortlessly offered us the holiday that we were wishing to have when we went to Lombok.
