Zuzuni Boutique Hotel, a Laid-back Weekend in Boracay

The sky was gloomy when we arrived in the island of Boracay, a sign telling us not to go into any outdoor activities but just enjoy the beach and relish our hotel room. But the sky doesn’t have to give that sign because after getting into our room in Zuzuni Boutique Hotel, I got impressed how cozy it was. With how our room looks like, I immediately felt that our stay in Boracay would be easy and relaxed.
Zuzuni Boutique Hotel is a prime beachfront boutique hotel and restaurant situated in the centre of White Beach. It is situated at the southern end of Station 1, making it close to Station 2 and the heart of the island.

Zuzuni means ‘little insect’ in Greek. It is just right that to appreciate the little pleasures that the island has, it must start where you stay. The hotel offers a quiet luxury through its impressive rooms and kind service.

The boutique hotel currently has thirteen rooms. They have premiere beach front room with balcony and sea view, beachfront room with balcony and sea view, loft with sea view and standard non-beachfront room. All rooms are air-conditioned. All rooms come with cable TV, mini-ref, safety deposit, and hot & cold shower. The hotel also provides a complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access.
We stayed in the premiere beachfront room during our visit. It’s a clean and spacious room. Our room comes with a king-sized bed. The bed is so soft and very comforting. Because of how soothing it was; I stayed in our bed longer than I explored the beaches in Boracay. Our room also has a nice balcony wherein we had a view of the sea without even getting out of our hotel. Imagine how easy and comfortable it was staying in our room.  Don’t be surprised now why we hadn’t done so much in our 3 days trip in the island.
Guests of the hotel can also enjoy free set breakfast at Cozina, the resident restaurant that is situated in the ground floor. I had my favorite Filipino breakfast.
What I also liked about their breakfast is they serve it free to its guests until 11:00 AM. They must have been aware that most people stay up till late night in Boracay – thus guests wake up late as well. Party people!
Speaking of party, one thing not to miss about the island is the nightlife. One of my favourites to go in the island for affordable drinks and good dance music is Club Paraw.
We ended our last day in Boracay without really getting into any serious outdoor activity. We had visited a few sites like Spider House Boracay and had dined into some popular restaurants but that’s it. It was really a staycationing in Boracay.
A stunning hotel room, spectacular view of the beach and a quick dip into the water, that was all enough for us to call this a well spent vacation. After all, that was all we had wanted.

The island is a wonderful destination where you can do and find anythingfrom beaches, activities, food, nightlife and so on. But despite of these numerous things to do, we had chosen to spend more of our time in our hotel room and abandoned ourselves to the comfort of our bed and the view of the beach. This, I must say, is my most relaxed vacation in the island. We didn’t have any itinerary to follow, no time to look after, no activity to catch; it was just our room, the beach and we. It was really a laid-back weekend in the tropical paradise of Boracay.

I miss Boracay so bad! It's one of the best places I've been to, it's a paradise. I like that it's close to nature but with an urban vibe.
