The End | Our Last 5 Hours in Singapore

After exploring the different tourist spots in Singapore, we came to the last five hours of our trip. We’ve been to different places, experience a number of adventures, see myriad of people and eat different specialty food but after all these things, nothing is much better than going home. Well, going home is what we’ve all somehow like to do when we came to our last part of this leg. The continuous traveling and going in and out have been exhausting for all us.  Nevertheless, we’ve really enjoyed a lot of things on this travel but as what the saying goes, “all good things come to an end”.

But before we headed home, me and my friend went for a meet up with one of our close friends who is residing in Singapore for like two years now. We were treated for a dinner, accompanied for a stroll around the Bugis area and had a small night out afterwards.

Tasting the Chicken Rice

I’ve been hearing a lot of things about Hainanese Chicken Rice in Singapore but never really had a chance to try it until I asked our friend to treat us.

The dish is a Chinese origin and is most commonly associated with Hainanese, Singaporean and Malaysian cuisines. The dish is considered as the ‘national dish’ of Singapore.

Wafer Ice Cream

It was actually my companion who introduced this desert to me. I never knew that this is actually famous in Singapore. We tried finding one after we visited Marina Bay, we were able to find one selling such in Bugis. I tried Chocmint for SGD 1.00.

Going Home

After spending some time in one of the pubs in the Bugis area, we went back to our guesthouse and took our bags. Subsequently, we went out and took a cab going to the airport. We still have much time before our boarding time so we together with our friend had a little chit chat first.

Then at around 12:30 AM, we boarded the plane back to our home country.

It was an exciting and epic journey, indeed. I enjoyed a lot of things on this trip, new memories and exciting adventures specifically. The experiences, the people, the places and the culture made this trip very remarkable.
