D* Mall & D* Talipapa of Boracay

One of the famous landmarks in Boracay is D’ Mall, located at Station 2 (starting from the main road up to the Station 2). Great finds are available in the area which includes stores selling souvenirs, shirts and beach stuff. As well as bar and restaurants wherein you can indulge yourself for your food cravings or if you’re in a cheap budget, you can go for Mang Inasal or Andok’s.

Not only that, Ferris Wheel and D’ Wall were also available in D’ Mall for kiddos who love some thrill and adventures.

For relaxed chit-chat with friends and / or just watch people around, grab a cup of coffee, tea or Frappucino at Cafe Del Sol. Cafe Del Sol is one of the coffee shops available along Station 2. I ordered Mocha Coffee Frappe for PHP 125.00. For me, it was good but still nothing beats Starbucks Frappe.

We had our last dinner in Boracay at I Love Backyard BBQ. It is located across Pancake House near Island Souvenirs.

Backyard BBQ

We ordered Spicy Chicken Wings for appetizer. It has a little spiciness on its flavor. I’m a spicy food lover so I looked for more spiciness on it. Despite of, the chicken wings were still good.

I ordered their famous Bulalo Steak. I was really undecided what to order for so I ended up choosing their famous menu and / or best seller one. My Best ordered Pepper Steak. I’m not really a fan of sizzling food so I didn’t enjoy the food that much. Everything in my food is too brackish. It could be the too much soy sauce in our food.

D’ Mall Boracay has still a lot of bar and restaurants that are yet to try for with different cuisines and specialties that will (or will not) satisfy our hunger and appetite.

If there’s Dampa in Metro Manila, of course Boracay has its own, it’s the famous D’ Talipapa, located near Station 2. D’ Talipapa is a public market which sells cheaper suvenirs, shirts and beach stuff. D’ Talipapa is a cheap place to eat specially sea foods.

D' Talipapa
After we had our half-day activities, we went to D’ Talipapa for our late lunch. We bought some fresh sea food first at the market. We bought mussel, crab and shrimps. I forgot to take note of our expenses on this but definitely it doesn’t cost us more than PHP 500.00. Moving on, we had these cooked (paluto) at Plato D’ Boracay Resto. The restaurant was jam packed. We were already hungry and we can’t wait for our foods to be served, hungry and excited. By the way, we bought 1.5 liter Coke (masarap ang kainan pag may malamig na Coke).

And here are our food.

I love how everything were cooked. I like the Spicy Crab, the Buttered Shrimp and the Ginger Mussel Soup. It was a seafood overload! We spent almost an hour eating all of them. Of course, nothing was left on the table but the empty plates. :I felt dizzy after eating a lot of shrimps. Haiz… I still wanted to eat a lot of it but I felt something, could be the effect of too much sea food. 🙁

We spent PHP 625.00 for the cooking (paluto) service. A great food treats should always be experienced whether on adventure trips or laid back vacation.

What's nice about D*Mall and D*Talipapa – is that you have wide range of choice to eat, shop and find your best activity in the island. And D* – seems to be a trademark of Bora.
