Corong-Corong Bay | Coming Together for Sunset

I suddenly jolted up from my sleep then looked at my phone, it’s already 30 minutes after 4. I got missed calls and text messages from Suzette, the blogger behind Globe Trotting Life, following up with regards to our trip to Corong-Corong. I then replied to her text messages and apologized from not answering her calls and messages earlier as me and Paula got dozed off. Then, me and Paula immediately got off from our respective beds and hurriedly prepared ourselves for our trip.

Corong Corong beach is just situated 1 mile south of El Nido town. There are also cottages and resorts in the area which offer more quiet surrounding than El Nido. This area can be reached by riding a tricycle for 5 minutes or by walking for 15 minutes. It’s near the public market and terminal of El Nido.

When we were ready, we went out from our guesthouse and met up Suzette in El Nido Botique & Art Cafe which is just a minute walk from our place. We walked the street getting to the main road; and there we took a tricycle to get to Corong-Corong.

We’re not really sure where to get off so we just asked our tricycle driver to drop us in any area wherein we can pass to get to the beach. After traveling the road for 5 minutes, he then dropped us at Leonides Budget Hotel. We paid PHP 30.00 fare for the tricycle for the three of us.

We entered the premises and walked towards the beach; and this view of Corong-Corong welcomed us.

The beach is so laid-back. It looks like more of a fishing village because of some boats docked in the area. But certainly, it’s a still and calm place wherein you can relax and enjoy the scenery. We’re still a little early for the sunset so we went to a shaded area first, took a sit and had a little chit-chat.

After a couple of minutes, we went up and started capturing the surrounding and the sundown.
Paula then told us that another blogger friend will be joining us for the sunset photo shoot. It’s none other than, drum roll please…. it’s Josiah of Lakas ng Trip. He’s a blogger based in Palawan and had been to El Nido numerous times already so I believe it’s really an advantage or I must say a privilege to have him in our trip, right Paula? 😀

The beach is low-tide during sunset but definitely the scenery still looks lovely.

We couldn’t help but capture every moment of the sunset here. Corong-Corong definitely gave us an unobstructed view of the sundown.

It was truly a perfect time for us to see and capture the sunset. Suzette even told us that the sunset the day before wasn’t that magnificent compared on what we had during that day of our visit.

Seeing this sunset made me feel that life is good; let’s make it simple and inspiring.
At around 6:30 PM, we went out of the beach and walked towards the main road. We then rode a tricycle back to the main town. We paid PHP 50.00 for our fare this time because we’re 4 now.

Suzette went back to her hotel while me, Paula and Josiah went to Squido’s Restaurant and had our dinner. After finishing our food we went back to our stay. I got into sleep while the two went for a walk. We then call it a night.
